New CEO at EuroMedITI Ltd

Dr. John Attard has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the European-Mediterranean Initiative for Technology and Innovation (EuroMedITI Ltd) with effect from 1st September 2007. Dr. John Attard has over 20 years of international experience in bringing research and technology to market. He has held senior management positions in Royal Philips Electronics (Netherlands), Cambridge Display Technology (UK), Avantium Technologies (Netherlands) and British Gas Research (UK) among others. Dr. John Attard has worked in a number of industry sectors, including the oil and gas, medical electronics, flat panel displays, solar cell and printed electronics industries. Dr. John Attard has a PhD in Physics from the University of Surrey (UK) and an MBA from Nyenrode Business Universiteit (Netherlands). He was a British Petroleum-funded research fellow at the University of Cambridge (UK) and a Research Manager at SINTEF (Norway). Since 2002, Dr Attard has been the Managing Director of Rescitech Ltd, a UK-based consultancy specialising in technology innovation, transfer and commercialization.
