EuroMedITI Ltd accepted in to the European Network of Living Labs27/11/2008During an official announcement (November 25, 2008) at ICT2008 in Lyon, France, under the auspices of the French EU Presidency, Living Lab EuroMedITI was accepted in to the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL, www.openlivinglabs.eu). A Living Lab is an open innovation environment in real-life settings in which user-driven innovation is the co-creation process for new services, products and societal infrastructures. Living Labs encompass societal and technological dimensions, simultaneously, in a business-citizens-government-academia partnership.
The vision is about moving the goalposts from a position where the user is seen as a traditional stakeholder and consumer of industry-lead innovations to a position where the user and user communities are contributors and co-creators of new innovations.
The ENoLL concept was launched in November 2006 by the Finnish Presidency of the EU. During the three waves of applications, 129 Living Labs and affiliated Living Labs have joined the network. « Go to news archive |
